The Center for Hemispherical Cooperation in Research and Education in Engineering and Applied Science (CoHemis) will celebrate the CoHemis International Conference on Green Communities (CICGC) during June 18-20 of 2008. The University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez will host the conference and we are expecting over 300 people from different countries; including many from the forty nine (49) organizations that are members of the CoHemis Consortium around the World. This conference will have simultaneous translation in English and Spanish. Important engineering, scientific, societal and educational issues of green communities will be presented and discussed during the conference. We expect to have well-known international engineers, architects, educators and scientists working in this field. It will also represent an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Puerto Rican culture, customs, traditions, and society.
